Flying to Canberra

Aside from a slight delay, all went smoothly for my flight south.  The $10 chicken salad sandwich was not bad - quite filling.

Dinner

It was lovely to be invited to a good old fashioned dinner party - the dessert by the hosts rounded out a great meal of food and company.

Tap Dogs

I've seen this show 5 times now - including at Jupiters on the Gold Coast just recently.

We had second row seats,

and the energy was as great as it was the other times.  You can sip your drink during the show as long as it's in a plastic "glass".  What a handy little holder.

Chermside

I had some time to kill on the north side, so whiled away an hour or two in the Big Shopping Centre there.  I liked this store front - random bits of wood.

St Chocolate

Between the Southbank cinemas and the South Brisbane Railway Station is a new (to me) temple to chocolate.  It was hard to photograph what I had - a triangle of layered cake, the plate painted with molten milk chocolate.
 All hail.

Brisbane Supreme Court and District Court

This is a new building in the CBD, complete with intriguing art...

Eyes everywhere! Yayoi Kusama is the artist, and there's an artist statement as well as a curator statement nearby.

Boonah

I look forward to my Boonah weekends three times a year.  The first for 2013 was 15 to 17 February.  I had a relaxing trip as I was driven (thanks Margaret).  We stopped at Ipswich for a poke around Bargain Box and lunch at Deann's Cafe.  Most of my weekend was sewing light strips to dark strips
cross cutting them, counting them (150 plus 112 for the dark/light/dark, and 175 plus 112 for the light/dark/light)
then sewing them into blocks.  The finished size of each square is 1 inch.  Yikes!!!
Of course there was some red medicine consumed.  Suzanne generously shared some of hers -
extremely yummy!
